eye issues
« on: December 20, 2007, 12:50:18 pm »
Hi. There have been a number of posts about post-op eye concerns. I have a new one and am wondering if anyone else has developed it. My eye has gone through the normal sequence of not blinking or tearing at all, to mostly better-though it freezes open when I'm hiking in really cold weather. 2 days ago I started seeing flashing lights in my surgery side eye. It also went off and on fuzzy. They have diagonised it as a Posterior Vitreous Detachment. This is something that happens to many people after 65 yrs old. I'm 44 and it is happening on the surgery side. The flashing and all the floaters and fuzzy stuff are not helping the headaces at all. Maybe this is all a coincidence. Anyone else know anything?

Thanks again and have some christmas cookies and eggnog (heavy on the rum) :)

Mary,
I've had doctors tell me that flashing lights in vision, that they called an aura, was a precursor to migrain headaches.
