Hi there ... I am so sorry about your recent diagnosis - I was just diagnosed last July (the 31st) and - I highly recommend you talk with Dr. Lorne Parnes and Stephen Lownie at London Health Sciences Center in London, ON.  I am awaiting my pre-admission tests this April and surgery will probably be in May or June of this year.  I never considered Gamme Knife - they do not do this in London - but they do in Toronto.

4CM will have a lot of info. to add - she has been a wealth of info. to me and is a GREAT asset to this Board - she seems to know all the good Dr's.
- Oct. 16/08 - 12 hour 'blob-ectomy' at LHSC in London, ON - Dr. Lownie and Parnes
- Some internal facial numbness (cheek, tongue, eye), SSD, headaches (getting better), dry eye, some balance issues..... but othwise AWESOME!

Hi,

I see Dr Rutka at the Toronto General.  He and his team are amazing.  I was seeing a real dud prior.  I cannot say enough good about Dr Rutka.  My husband who works in healthcare was very impressed.

Good luck with your search,

Out of curiosity how many of us now are from Ont?  I think our numbers are growing.  Maybe for next year's AN synopsis's it would be nice to attend.  By the way Phyl what are the dates?  I need to plan.  It's going to be a busy year (25th Wedding Anniv) for me and I would love to attend.

here here in Toronto.
Hi Anne Marie... we keep bumping into each other!
I am also seeing Dr. Rutka. I have little experience in the health care system so i am not sure i can compare him to anyone, but i am sure he knows his stuff. He is one busy guy!
I am not sure how many from Ontario (or Canada) we have here... this is actually the first time i have come into this section of the site so we might be kind of spread out here in where we are looking and posting.

Has anyone seen or had surgery with Dr. Guha at Toronto Western??

cheers!

HI Claire...

I don't know this Doctor. I am in Toronto.

Why do you ask?
