I'm home and fine after having my just under 2cm AN treated with CK at Baltimore's Sinai Hospital yesterday.
So far I have all good things to say about Dr. Naff (neurosergeon) and Dr. Hoffelt (radiation oncology) and Sinai Hospital.
A 3 hour drive home in pouring rain yesterday afternoon sure beats a day in ICU and 4 more in recovery from surgery and many more weeks of down time at home!
Dr.Hoffelt is moving to Portland OR. to be at a cyberknife unit there in about a month. I wish him well.
My tumor was about 4ml from my brain stem in July, the ct scan that was taken last week showed it just touching my brain stem. So yes, some do grow faster than others.
I am so very happy that I had this treatment and very thankful for this group and the knowledge and guidence that I got from reading your posts and the private emails form you know how
I will keep you informed of my recovery and watch others on their recoveries.
