Lobster sounds great - but some of us would have a few problems with the corn on the cob!!  I LOVE it but don't eat it in public! ;)  HOWEVER, if no one would laugh at me...

Are you kidding?  You must be unaware of the tradition of a clam bake in which everyone wears BIBS!  No one will notice the corn stuck on your face, darlin'.

NancyMc - the whale reference was not meant to be you!   ;D
And Hawaii in January is fine as long as it is not humid - my boss went last April and said it was humid.
I didn't notice the humidity in Sept...  However, the plane ride is SOOOO long from the East Coast!
(Can you beam me over, Scotty??!!)
BVI would be closer, i agree! - then would we have to call it an 'international symposium?'  Why not?
I didn't know you had been there before - it was AWESOME!  I was fortunate to also have Anegada lobster, YUM!

Cheryl - thank you for the information about past symposiums and where and when they were held.  I am still 'new' to this game!
There are so many wonderful future venues to choose from!

Lori - if we go to Maine, i will help with the extra napkins!  ::)

He's a very funny and friendly guy.

Cool, but is he single?  :D  ;D

I think a demonstration would be great, but I'm not sure where in the schedule we could fit it in.

In addition to all the events, I'm also volunteering my time, so I don't have a good picture yet of when my free time might be.

But if you can arrange something, count me in.

Jan

LOL...no he's not single... ::), very happily married. I guess from the limited response (except for Jan looking for a cool paddle surfing dude.. ;)) that I won't worry about scheduling anything. If you happen to see a short muscular filipino guy with a big smile on a standup board on the lake while your out there tell him Bob says hello.

Cheri -

we're going to miss you - but if Pooter has his way the next symposium will be in Houston; very convenient for you  :)

Hi all,

The Drake is in a great location and is the host hotel.  I think I read somewhere our rate for the ANA conference was $199.00 which is a great price for this location! You are right in the thick of things in an area called the Gold Coast and the Magnificent Mile.  BTW, The Drake Hotel is renown for its high tea...

I can't wait..until the dog days of August.

Just an FYI, The Drake is a Hilton Hotel, so if you have Hilton Points you can use them to book a room.  I am local and will be attending the Symposium, look forward to meeting you there.

Hey, Jeannine.

Thanks for the tip on the Hilton Honors points.  I didn't have enough to use for my room, but I will get some for booking - so that's good news!  I think Cheryl R said she was earning points too for her stay.

I see you're a patient of Dr. Wiet.  I am a patient of Dr. Battista  ;D

Are you volunteering at the symposium?  I am, although I don't know in what capacity yet.

Hope to meet you there.

Jan,

I think I heard you had volunteered to buy us all drinks and take us on a shopping spree.  That was very generous of you.
