This Week (12/21) in the Wintery AN World
« on: December 21, 2008, 11:58:42 am »
As to be expected, things are a bit quiet this week.

First on Monday, Sara (Saralynn143) from Jefferson City, MO has a follow up eye weight visit.  Hoping all goes well with it, Sara.  Are you seeing good results?  Cold dry air seems to be a killer on the eyes.

Then we have two birthdays, first on Tuesday the 23rd, Cathy (doglover) in Iowa is having her birthday.  Then Steve (sgerrard) in Portland is having a birthday on Friday the 26th.  Happy Birthday to you both.  (and my sympathies if you had to go through those combined Christmas-Birthday presents).

Let's see there was one more event this week.  Now what was it?  Oh, I remember....

MERRY CHRISTMAS Everyone!

Have a great week.

I haven't chimed in in awhile....so Happy Birthday, Steve and Cathy[/font]!   And may we all stay warm.  It's been SNOWING in Ocean Shores, WA, on the coast, for two days!  Snowing sideways of course given our incessant winds. And I hope everyone has a good holiday season despite AN.
Love,
Dana
1.5 cm AN diagnosed June 2007.   GammaKnife July 19, 2007 at Univ. of Washington/Harborview GK Center, Drs. Rockhill, Rostomily.
After yearly MRIs for 5 years, it hadn't died. So I'm now leaning strongly toward surgery.

Thanks David for the weekly update.  Hey, you could get a gig with SNL!.  Happy Birthday one and all.  And thanks, David, for not reminding us that you are probably enjoying warmer weather than much of the US.

I remember living in Ventura, California when I was about 13 years old and people were over to our apartment and they had a football game on, and it might have been Green Bay because that was the Lombardi years, and it looked like they were playing in a blizzard, which I suppose they were.  I looked outside at our blue sky and the warm temperature and I thought:  Wow, how lucky am I?

I'm looking outside now, and it's lightly snowing again, we have 6 or 7 inches of snow on the ground and it's all crusted over with ice and I'm thinking, How lucky am I?  I have a warm house, and a husband and son watching football, which I believe is the Seattle/Jets game and there you go.  The circle of life! HA ;) ;D

Thanks, David, my appointment went well. My vision is still good under all that Refresh PM ointment. My eye is a little dry -- that's to be expected this time of year -- but I need to run a vaporizer or humidifier in my office and bedroom. The doctor says my eye drifts shut all the way, though it takes a little time. I am supposed to try to train myself to shut my eyes completely once a minute since my blink is just not there. Then he cut me loose for another four months, unless I develop any problems.

Merry Christmas and Ho Ho Ho,

Thanks for the birthday wishes. Can I really be turning <gasp!> 50 tomorrow! In my mind I feel 30, but my body doesn't always agree with that! LOL.
