I can breathe a sigh of relief as my spending  almost an hour and  half in a very closed MRI for the brain and spinal tumors showed no spinal ones and no new ANs today.          I have had the MRIs in the past at where I was working and only one at Univ of Iowa immed part surgery in 2001.           My previous ones has a mirror where you could see out and also a cord to call them.   Todays new location had neither.        Plus they would not put ina lock ahead of time in a vein and it took 2 sticks to get the contrast in.
I was very nervous this week since I do have more to lose in the future if have a new one on the side where the hearing improved.     My speech discrimanation was even now 96.      Trying to get across to my surgeon that it is a big difference in the room with that guy speaking in your ear and from out in public.                           So now am in a much better mood and just tired tonight!            I do not have to go back for a year!

Hoping everyone has great outcomes/news this week. You must be so relieved Cheryl...I'm nervous about my MRI tomorrow and I don't have anything nearly as nerve wracking as you must go through every time to worry about. If I had to worry about a new one cropping up each time i think I'd go crazy. I am fortunate that I don't mind going into the MRI's. I've actually fallen asleep once... ;D

Cheryl, I am very happy for you. Unremarkable MRIs have a special significance for you. No new ones is very good news!

Did your speech test include listening to a recording of that guy who says "you will say farm" ? It is nothing at all like real listening.

I must say, we have had 3 reports of successful surgery so far this week, plus a long awaited update on Liz from last week. I think we should take David up on his recommendation, and all take tomorrow off and do the Hokey Pokey.

I was so tired that I slept in this am which I don't usually do.        This was the first time to have had   the pre MRI be such a worry time since April 17th is the 1 yr anniv of the left sided surgery and get the hearing to return and no cochlear implant needed.
Yes the audiogram included that wonderful guy who said, you will say farm, you will say have, etc.             Where is he out in the real world?      I could hear even better if he was around.
Now back to real life!                             Cheryl R
