Well, well. I just heard on the news that it was National talk like a pirate day and I just knew the old gang would be up to something. I wanted to drop in and say hello; it's been a long time! How is everyone??? I hope all is well. I have missed you guys but you just would not believe what has been going on this past year. I've had a lot of new things to think about. I have a little one due on Sept 30th and I've also been battling breast cancer this year. Found out about the cancer the day before the pregnancy! Who knew at 34 I'd have to deal with the AN, Cancer, and a pregnancy all at once. So, please forgive me for not dropping in and saying hello before now. I hope to be catching up on the site and all the postings so I won't be such a stranger any more.

How is everyone else???

AAAARRRR Laura-wench--A pirate-let! Good on ya! Sorry about the other not-so-good news, but knowing you, you will give that one a swift kick in the britches! Sounds like you could use a vacation aboard the PBW.  We are headed for St Barts.  You and I will be the only sober ones aboard! We will be speaking French-Pirate! Allez-Allez A St Barts!!  Plunderez et Pillagez!

Ahhh, Laura, ye comely lass, yer been battlin' some mighty big sea monsters of late, I see.  But, me thinks you'll be gettin'  an angel in yer arms soon enough, and that'll take care of yer woes, that be fer sure. Nothin' like a wee babe to bring luv inter yer heart and soul. Aye, lass, nothin' cures ye more than the sight of that there little bundle of joy and ter hold that wee child snug to your bosom and sing sweet lullabies, mostly pertainin' to the little tyke's cyber auntie and uncles on that faraway pirate ship, o' course.  ;) ;D

Sleep little baby, Mama's here,
I'll take care of you, don't fear,
Monsters out there are far away,
Papa and I will keep them at bay.

Captain and crew will help us too,
Keep us strong to care for you,
So sleep, our precious little one,
We love you, and my song's done.

Best wishes to you and your little one.  Stay well,

Well, you know, Laura, humor and tumor rhyme, and there must be a reason for that!  So we take full advantage of that quirk of language.

Take care,

Laura,
Glad to see you back in the fold, but so sorry to hear about your cancer news.  The baby is a huge blessing though!
I am a 22 year breast cancer survivor!  I'm praying for you and I know you will find the strenghth and faith to come out of this with that beautiful smile on your face.
I don't know where you are having your treatment, but MD Anderson is the very best and I would recommend at least a consultaion there.  Their words of wisdom are "Making cancer history"

Hugs and all the best thoughts and prayers coming from me to you,

Thanks everyone! I'm very much looking forward to Tuesday morning (being induced). Then off to the cancer battle. God doesn't give anyone more than they can handle... he must think a lot of me and everyone here on this site. I love you all and thank you once again for the well wishes. I'll post again after the birth :)

Cap't Deb and Laz,

I be wonderin' if'n the Goode Ship Princess Batty Wench might not be needin' to sail on over to the island of Manhatten, and we all could get our buckets we use to swab the decks, and help those landlubbers with that bailout! Or make 'em walk the plank.  Can't decide which would be better!   Or maybe it's Chesapeake Bay we need to sail to, and see if those Congress types need some Pirate-atitude.  'Course, they might just hi-jack our ship and sail themselves out of there!  Crikey, we got ourselves a mess!

Or maybe just partyin' in the Caribbean until the storm passes would be better.

Or maybe we should all move to Costa Rica!    Australia?  New Zealand?  Bali?  Ah, Mars?

Laura~
Good Luck tomorrow!  I have 3 girlies and we NEVER found out what we were having until they POPPED out!!  And let me tell you, they did pop!  I had the 1st in THREE hours start to finish, the 2nd in TWO and the 3rd one in 46 minutes with the nurse holding her in waiting for the Dr.!!  I told him not to leave!!  Oh I LOVE babies and would have a house full, but after a brain tumor, stroke, 4 miscarriages, shots every day with the last 2 and an IV with the last one, I decided my body had gone thru enough!!  I was always HOPING I would have an "accident" though!!  LOL!!  But it never happened - guess God thinks I have enough to deal with!!   ;D

You'll be in my prayers tomorrow!!
