I am a Nana
« on: June 09, 2009, 05:25:27 pm »
Today I became a Nana. My daughter gave birth this morning to Nikhil Adam Kothari AKA " Nik "  He came 6 weeks early weighed in at 4lb 13oz and is 18 ins long. Although he was early he is doing fine. He is getting a little bit of help with his lungs ,but we are all thrilled. I got to watch the birth [ c section on skype ] fantastic invention. My son in law is from India so they chose an indian name that translates to English
hence, Nik.
So i am now a Nana with an AN.

4.5 cm AN diagnosed 5/06.  Retrosigmoid surgery 6/06.  Follow-up FSR completed 10/06.  Tumor shrinkage & necrosis noted on last MRI.  Life is good.

Life is not the way it's supposed to be. It's the way it is.  The way we cope with it is what makes the difference.

Lainie .....

Somehow I missed this announcement on Tuesday  :'( .  Congratulations on your new grandbaby!  There is nothing like grandchildren to warm our hearts!  I have 3 granddaughters ..... youngest is 4 months old ...... and I tell you, when I am having a "down" day all it takes is a trip to see one of them and everything is OK again!

And technology these days makes it so much easier to see the growth and development of little ones when you live far away ..... thank goodness for web cams and Skype.

Again, my belated congratulations!

Congratulations on the new grand baby

I became Nana when my 2 year old decided that was who I was ... all the rest that followed have called
me Nana too... oldest is 10 years old  ( 4 months older than my youngest child )  down to my youngest who is
5 months old ... but the newest is 9 month old Tyson that my oldest son and DIL have adoptied...

my lovely nearly 10 year old daughter told me a while back that by the time she and her sister have
kids I will be a Granny cause Grannies are real old  >:(
