We might get a better deal if we go in a group.  We can charter a plane, rent a big place so we can all cook and eat together (and not care if we spill food on ourselves), and show up en masse to a great salon for "the works".

so, folks... since this has taken on a life of it's own, anyone object to moving this thread to AN Community?  This has kinda gone beyond "AN Issues" where it currently lives........ and you all can continue in AN community.

Say AYE to the move! :)

Can I say "nay" and just vote for getting back on topic?

It's a very good topic - relevant to many - we just got a little carried away with the silly stuff - which as you know sometimes happens  ::)   ;D

Ok, if you want to keep the silly stuff, it goes to AN community... if you want to get back on topic, it stays here... pick one, all! :)

But wait, I thought this was the topic... safely coloring your hair in Europe?

How often do you have to repeat henna? I was just at the hairdresser today and I told her I was going to wait at least until the holidays before I color again to make sure everything is healed up. We've never discussed henna. Wish I had thought to ask today.

Hi all,
I forgot to ask the doctor today if he thought it would be okay to color my hair.  I was sure he would  say no but decided to e-mail him anyway.  Much to my happy surprise he said it would be okay, just to put a lot of bacitracin on the leaking part of the incision.  I will go a step further and cover it as well as possible and possibly avoid the immediate area entirely.  I don't care if it's not perfect  and I might be able to avoid coloring a square inch or more near the incision and have it matter too much.  I'm so excited!  The only other thing he told me was to wait five days because he removed some sutures that didn't dissolve today.  I didn't even know they were there until he told me. They just blended in with my hair and didn't hurt or cause any problems.

Yea, Wendy!  You brought us back to the topic!  Yes, it was about when it's safe to color your hair, not about henna, guys  ::)   :D

Phyl will be so happy!  She won't have to move this thread now - that is if you all stay on track (yes, you too, Lori)  ;)  ;D

Congratulations on the "officially okay to color" milestone Wendy!
