Kate .....

I am so sorry about your son ..... particularly shocking when he is so young and physically fit!

My thoughts and prayers are with both you and your son.

Not yet, Debbi -- my mom is going to check and see if some of her Wyndham timeshare points can be used at the Wyndham Chicago hotel. That would be perfect, but I'm not holding my breath. Thanks for the suggestion for the Knickerbocker, I'll keep it in mind. I also know that it is usually possible to find great deals at the last minute, but it's completely against my nature to wait that long. I like having all my ducks lined up well in advance.

Hi everyone,
Although I intended to attend (even bought the plane ticket) it looks like I won't be able to be there.  Too many reasons to list.  Suffice to say I will be celebrating my 50th at home with friends and family and will be thinking about all of you.  Have a drink or two for me!
Love,

Kate,

Life sure keeps us spinning, doesn't it?  I am so sorry to hear about your son.  I hope surgery goes well.

On the less important topic of Chicago, if anyone is picking up Kate's planning, I don't want to do high tea on Friday because of the symposium.

Kate -

prayers to your son; hope things turn out well.  I'm so sorry I am going to miss a chance to meet you once again  :'(  But since you are local, I'm hopeful we'll meet one day in the very near future.

Marci -

we are going to miss you too.  Wish you were attending.  Please plan on 2011.

On a different note, I was contacted by Cochlear last week and was asked to help them at their symposium exhibit answering questions and telling others about my experience with the Divino.  I've been a Cochlear volunteer for a few months, but this is my first official assignment and I'm SO excited!   ;D

I don't actually "make" trouble..just kind of attract it, fine tune it, and apply it in new and exciting ways
