I'm sitting here watching this ridiculuosly stupid dating show called "Mommas Boys" but guess what? Tonight's episode is shot in the US Virgin Islands, my home for over 25 years!  Most of it is filmed on St Thomas, which was my homeport when I was a charterboat skipper and featured one of my favorite small hotels, Mafolie, in one of the segments.  Now I am totally homesick and it's gonna be 19 degrees tomorrow! Yech bleh!!!! If you missed it looks like they pick up next week with more Virgin Islands shenanigans at 10:00 PM next monday night!

However I am flying to Florida next week where I will bask in the sun for 5 weeks until the end of February, then I will stow away in Vancouver Sue Wench's duffle bag for her Hawaiian cruise.

Brrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!

Darn and I'm complaining about 40 degree weather here in Texas!!!  But 19 is too much for me.  I don't like turning the heat on at all and don't unless it gets to thirty five.  I also don't like sweaters and jackets and hats.
Every time I see a picture of blue water and sandy beaches I want to be there.  I'm stowing away for Sue's trip too.  I  lived in Hawaii when my first husband was in the military and have been back many times since.  I would be there in a minute if I could.............although the Virgin Islands look pretty darned good too.  Stay warm Capt Deb!!!

We are going to have some fun on our substitute PBW!  This one is Pride of America and you can go to this website and explore the ship, if you think that's fun.  It's a whole 'nother world out there in cruise-land.  Quite an operation to run these ships, and have all that food, and drink, and all the employees and such.  I was exploring cruise lines this week and seeing some of the cruises that are available.  Amazing.  If you had the money, you could cruise till the end of time. Mexico ,The Caribbean, the Mediterranean, the South Pacific, North to Alaska, through the Panama Canal....you name it and some big old fat ship probably goes there.

There are some rich old hockey pucks that just retire and live aboard cattle boats (sailorspeak for a cruise ship!) I must admit I would like to sail aboard the Star lines that have these lovely sail powered vessels. http://www.starclippers.com/

We here we are talking cruising again--isn't this how the shenanigans of this thread started up in the first place?!?!?!?!

Yes, Rob, if I try the Gryrosphere, I'll be sure to have photos.  And then I will have to be carted off the ship on a stretcher.  I'll just pass on that one, thank you very much.  I just want to take the Whale Watching tour thingie.  That would be awesome.  We'll see.

I have to find those bracelets.

And Cap't Deb, I realize the "cattle boats" aren't probably to your liking, but if it's all I can get, then  MOO!   ;D

UMMMMMMMM, think it all started with some vaccuming, and within a few posts switched to crusie talk..  I saw the preview for the "mamas boys" dating show you mentioned, looked pretty weird,  the mom jumped in the hot tub with the son & his date.  Guess were getting pretty desperate for entertainment ;D   me thinks a PBW Crusie show would be much more entertaining.

Before the Good ship PBW sets sail for da hawaiiiiiiiii, it needs to take a detour to the land down under as the chronologer, who has been rather neglectful in his role, makes visitations to a couple of radiotherapists and another neurosurgeon (number 3,754) before he makes his final decision on how to attack the dreaded regrowth.

Set sail dear Captain for ye olde Sydney town and then a lazy row to Melbourne (only 1000kms due south) where we can go to a small town called Ballarat where we can get the crew panning for gold or plunder other peoples bounty. Ballarat was the gold rush town in the 1800's. Hopefully we won't run into Ned Kelly - the famous, well he is here, outlaw who dressed himself in metal from head to toe so he couldn't be shot.

Anyway, start the orders Captain.
