good for you sara!

i was going to bike everywhere i need to go today but it's raining. so we'll see.

my marathon training started last saturday; i was supposed to run in a 10 mile race but i had to go to a sweet friend's funeral and play piano, so i missed that run. i've been meaning to get out there and do those 10 miles, but will probably just do some shorter runs and wait for next saturday to really 'begin' the whole long run thing that consumes saturday mornings that i regret when i get up but always feel better once i do.

mei mei, join us even if you can't run! i run in your neck of the woods all the time (capital crescent trail).

have a good week, and those who have fallen off the exercise wagon, try to check in and get back on, even if it's a little at a time. something is better than nothing, and then something also leads to more, hopefully.

have a good week.

Trying to get back on the wagon...did walk three miles this morn and supposed to do a mile in the morning followed by some pool aerobics with my training buddies.  Kay and Keri, I may have to check out those houses if things don't improve around here!  Have a contract on another house, but won't know anything for several weeks as it's a short sale.  So, while I'm waiting, I'm packing a bit and will try to keep on some sort of exercise schedule...I am so grateful for this thread to help keep me motivated!

Jan, come on, get back on the wagon with me!

OK, I have no more excuses ..... all gone, nada!  Waaaaaay too much eating and waaaaaay too much sitting at the symposium.  Gotta stop pampering myself and get moving.  (Sorry, Sara, NO amount of exercise would ever get me looking like your high school classmate ..... thank goodness for everyone.)

Went out to walk just now ..... made it 1/3 of a mile   ::)  before the lungs gave out!  High humidity after the rain yesterday and already 80 degrees outside.  Gonna start earlier tomorrow and strive for 2/3 of a mile (two times around the exercise track).

Congrats to all of you other workhorses out there!  Pant, pant, pant .......

Way to go Clarice!!  Baby steps...

I just went walking running...walked Mom around block first and then hit it for me.  RAN a LOT farther/more at a time than I have been...not sure how far I went - probably only about 3 miles total.  Am planning to walk/run tomorrow morning before I drive back to Houston.

Sara - I am glad she is inspiration for you, but I have no desire to look like that or to live the lifestyle that requires! ::)

More motivation than inspiration, Kay. I don't want to look like a bodybuilder either, but I know I can do better than I am.

Three for three this week so far. Pecs are very sore from yesterday's workout. Good hurt though - means my muscles are rebuilding.

Five for five two weeks in a row. I'm tired. Went for a 1.5 mile impromptu hike yesterday on the Katy Trail (rail to trail project here in Missouri) with Elbee since we had some time before her dental appointment. I was wearing flip flops and am paying the price today with very sore feet.

Wear proper footgear, guys!

Walked again today - after ran most of way yesteray because of a time crunch.  Hadn't slept well so just glad I went!  Weighed and am down 5 pounds from where I'd been hovering...wonder what would happen if i actually dieted and watched what I ate??

Way to go Sara but take care of those feet!

They say William's Katherine used the Dukan Diet so I went on Amazon and got it.   Now I have to figure it out.
