How large is a "large" tumor? How small is a "small" tumor? Doctors give measurements in millimeters and centimeters.
Patients often ask questions about the size of their tumors and how those measurements relate to the "small", "medium" and "large" descriptors used by doctors. Tumors are typically described as small (less than 2 cm), medium (2-4 cm) or large (more than 4 cm). Hopefully, these examples will help make those measurements a little easier to visualize.
