TOPIC:
Living Well with Persistent Uncertainty
Presented by Ted Bowman, Grief and Family Educator
While we understand that the world is always changing, this time the changes came rapidly and uninvited. Conversations have been dominated by the pandemic, vaccines, racial injustice, and the future of school, work and community routines. This is testing stamina, spirit, and resilience. Add a persistent and ambiguous medical condition, stress and distress can grow. This session will help raise awareness of emotional and decision fatigue, anxiety and grief with an emphasis on coping well in uncertain times.
Family members, caregivers, friends and interested persons are welcome to attend. Virtual group meetings provide a nurturing environment with individuals who have shared acoustic neuroma experiences along with educational opportunities, emotional support and encouragement throughout all stages of the AN journey.
The meeting will be facilitated by Steve Blons, an acoustic neuroma watch and wait patient and Laura Ferenci, an acoustic neuroma post-treatment patient.
